I adore simple, family-oriented weddings and that’s exactly what Michael and Marissa planned. The bride’s parents’ home on a small grass airstrip provided a lovely backdrop with two large red birch trees to serve as an alter. The casual vibe allowed the many children in attendance to enjoy the setting as much as the adults. Although the clouds gathered and looked ominous for most of the day, the rain held off until just after we finished the couple’s portraits after the ceremony and everyone headed for the reception under a large tent. I wish them continued luck with avoiding the storms life may bring them and hope they look back on this day for years to come with warm and happy memories.
