Although the forecast called for rain on their wedding day, we all hoped that the weather would break and the sun would return just in time like it did for Jeffrey and Maria’s family photos. Unfortunately that didn’t happen, but they were determined to have their ceremony next to the lake at the base of the waterfall at McHugh Creek like they’d envisioned, so they broke out an umbrella and proceeded to smile, giggle and look lovingly at each other underneath it as they exchanged vows. Eventually the rain did subside a bit and we were able to make our way over next to the waterfall which provided an amazing backdrop for their wedding portraits. I hope their optimism and determination follow them home to California and help them navigate the ups and downs of a lifetime marriage. Congratulations!
