Bill and Maggie came from Detroit to elope in Alaska with their immediate family and very close friends. They found a lovely home to rent on Air B&B that had an amazing view of the Palmer Hay Flatts and beautiful landscaping so they decided to hold the ceremony right there at the house. Although the weather had been rainy in the days prior and even the morning of their wedding the clouds broke and the sun peeked through just in time for them to tie the knot. I always enjoy working with small intimate weddings because I get to become a part of the family as I document the event and their wedding was no different. I so enjoyed watching their excitement and silly hi-jinks combined with love and family which made their wedding day uniquely their own. After the ceremony and family pictures we headed down to the hay flatts for some romantic photos of just the couple who definitely gave the stunning backdrop a run for it’s money! I hope these images bring them very fond memories of their special day and visit to Alaska. I wish them a lifetime of wedded bliss.
