The Elkins were all set to do maternity photos in Fairbanks, where they live but were sent to the hospital in Anchorage a few days prior to their scheduled session. Luckily I was able to fit them in on the same day they had been scheduled in Fairbanks, which was a relief since they were expecting twins and it was possible she could go into labor at any time. While prescribed bed rest, she was allowed liberty to leave the maternity ward as long as she stayed on hospital grounds. We did a few shots in the maternity ward, then headed over to the sky bridge down the hall and finally headed just outside for a few shots on a walking trail nearby. Although they weren’t the shots they had planned on, they were grateful to be able to document this milestone in their family. Their little boys have since arrived and are doing well. I wish them a safe journey back home and a wonderful first holiday season with their new bundles of joy!
