I just love this family. They are a photographer’s dream, scheduling a session every two or three months and they’re game for anything! This time they had family visiting from the lower 48 just after Christmas and wanted some group portraits, plus some ‘winter’ solo shots of Kylie to compliment her summer and fall senior sessions. We started the session at the Old Glenn Highway bridge just outside of Palmer and then headed up to Hatcher’s Pass where there was a fresh blanket of snow and a lovely sunset. Before we called it quits Kylie and I scaled a slippery hillside with the assistance of her dad to get a few shots along the river among the snow covered boulders in the last of the fading light. I’m looking forward to creating some athletic shots for her soon so stay tuned for that!
