Leaving Kodiak was bittersweet. While I was excited to begin the next chapter in our lives I was sad to leave the friends I’d met, including our next door neighbors, the Buccieros. We’ve watched their two boys grow up, shared the frustrations of military life in remote Alaska and helped each other countless times. They were the first family I did photos for in Kodiak and I felt it only fitting that they be the last I photograph before leaving. I hope these pictures will remind them of their many adventures here after they settle in at their next station in the lower 48.
I didn’t notice how much kissing went on during their session until I sat down to edit their images. Their love for each other is obvious and true! 🙂
