I was excited to photograph Ben and LeAnn as they exchanged their vows on the deck of the USCG Munro with stunning mountains as a backdrop, but constant rain necessitated the ceremony relocate to their weather backup. Albeit not the couple’s first choice, the base chapel was fitting for their intimate ceremony and actually made the event a little more memorable. First when the flower girl, the couple’s chocolate lab, got a little excited and pulled the ring bearer down the aisle where he bumped his head on a pew only half-way to the altar. The move also meant that the ship’s horn wouldn’t be sound just prior to the bride’s walk down the aisle, which caused a bit of a dramatic pause before her entrance because she waited for quite some time to hear it before making her appearance! Luckily a helpful guest peeked behind the doors and got everyone back on schedule. Through it all Ben and LeAnn remained calm and joyful, making everyone forget the day’s little snafus. I have no doubt that these two will have no trouble fulfilling their vow to be faithful and loving to each other, even when the sea separates them! Congratulations to you both!
